I just got home from Russia.
It was a traveling horror story.
It took me 40+ hours/
I don't want to relive the details, so I'll give you the quick version.
*6 total flights
*5 security check points
*4 flight delays
*3 hours sitting on the plane right outside of the Des Moines airport because air traffic control wouldn't let us land in Chicago
*2 unknown airports in foreign countries whose languages I didn't speak
*1 body cavity search (oh, joy)
...and a canceled flight
...and an unexpected night spent in Chicago
...also experienced my first TSA searched baggage. (that wasn't so bad, though, because they packed it back up better than I had originally)
and just when I thought I was home free, I got a flat tire on my way home from the airport.
TODAY IS NOT MY DAY.
but I AM HOME. AND I DON'T SMELL BAD ANYMORE.
Here is a fashion post with photos I took a while back inspiring me that I may once again not always look as tired and sweaty as I did for the last forty-some hours ~
